The Claremont RSL 8 Ball Club has two teams that play in the Southern Tasmanian Eight Ball Association roster which play their games on a Tuesday night. The associations main roster starts in October every year and finishes in late April, normally around ANZAC Day each year this is called the STEBA Summer Roster and has about 18 teams playing in three divisions. The other roster is small & starts in June and runs until mid-September each year, this roster is called the Super 5s, this roster has about 14 teams competing.

The Claremont teams are Claremont RSL Scorpions which play in Division 1 and they only play in the Summer Roster & the Claremont RSL Devils which play in Division 2 play in both rosters.

Both teams have been very successful over the past five or so years with the Scorpions winning two premierships and being runner up in the other three Grand Finals. This year they will be again competing in the 2017 Eight Ball Tasmania State Teams Event to find out who has the best club team in Tasmania. The Scorpions will be going into this competition as one of the favourites.

The RSL Devils have been just as successful in the Division 2 competition winning two of the last three premierships and coming runner up in the other year. They have also won two Super 5s Grand Finals.
